All consultations are carried out online via video consultation, which means that you can access treatment from the comfort of your own home. We only see UK resident patients.

Before the appointment

Before your appointment you will be sent an initial questionnaire. Please fill this out as comprehensively as possible and return along with any relevant test results from within the last 2 years in advance of your appointment. Based on this information, we will advise which tests you should have in advance of your first appointment. Alternatively, you can discuss which further tests to do at your initial consultation.

Please note that tests are charged separately from your consultation fee.

Initial Consultation
45 minutes

Your doctor will listen to your concerns and discuss your goals. They may discuss the results of any tests you have had done. If something is prescribed, your prescription will be sent to a pharmacy and you can call them to order your medication, which will be posted out to you. Your Dr will issue you enough medication to last you until your next appointment.

If your doctor advises further tests, then you would have a follow up appointment 1-2 weeks later to discuss the results and, if something is prescribed, your prescription will be sent to a pharmacy and you can call them to order your medication, which will be posted out to you. Your Dr will issue you enough medication to last you until your next appointment.

Follow-up 6-8 weeks later

This is a progress review and any adjustments to treatment will be made as necessary.

Follow up usually 2-6 months thereafter

Further Information

 

Bioidentical hormones are precise duplicates of the body’s own hormones. Taking these hormones is adding something that the body already recognises and knows how to metabolise. Conversely, conventional HRT usually includes hormone-like drugs that are not identical in structure do the body’s own, such as conjugated equine oestrogens or synthetic progestogens. As well as binding to hormone receptors, these hormone-like drugs may bind to other receptors causing unwanted side effects.

There is plenty of peer-reviewed scientific research that demonstrates a safer risk profile for bioidentical hormones than conventional hormone-like drugs. Links to some of these studies can be found under the ‘Research’ section .
